THE WATER WHISPER

By now it’s no longer a whisper really. That is, that Aurora (The Government) cannot actually guarantee Gunns an adequate water supply for their proposed pulp mill. But no worries, if it works out that way, and Gunns are forced to abandon their plans to build the mill for this reason, the real whisper is that they reckon that they have a good case, even a very good case, for compensation.

If Gunns have been so seriously mislead, on such a fundamental thing as this, you’d have think that they’d see it that way. If you were on a roll, wouldn’t you?

If you cannot trust the government who can you trust?

Yep, sounds good to me. I wonder how much the Gunns share price will move once the court papers are filed.

This is as good as insider info!!

All those Tassie taxpayers contributing even more to the Gunns Fund.

seems that Gunns are addicted to the public purse to ensure a return for their investors. Everyone except them, in their eyes, are obligated to do due diligence. One wonders why their shareholders accept that situation. Perhaps now is a good time for them to seriously review their investment.

This possibility arises because our government consists of very stupid people, who are falling over themselves to suck up to their rich mates. As a result, they rush in and promise all sorts, leaving all Tasmanians open to legal action later. They will eventually blame the Greens for the false promises of the Hydro and the fact that the bottom fell out of global credit markets.

We are surprised at the level of public support Gunns seem to have won as indicated by the polls here. Something seems to going awry with their PR machine. If you were on that team you would have to wonder if there will be any bonuses in the pipeline … no pun intended but there you go!
